SDG Course Mapping Session: Building on Last Year's Success In-Person
Join the CTL Thursday, November 13, from 1:30 to 4:00pm for an exciting workshop designed to help faculty continue mapping new courses to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Last year, faculty mapped 67 unique courses to SDGs, which established a clear baseline showing Keyano’s commitment to sustainability. This year we are launching our first SDG Annual Cycle to build on our success and move from a one-time project into an annual process where we update mappings, capture enhancements, and celebrate progress in an Annual Sustainability Report.
Connecting a course or activity to SDGs can make students’ learning more meaningful while also showing accreditors, employers, and community partners that Keyano programs are forward-thinking and relevant. Prior to attending, you should choose your course (in consultation with your Chair/AD if needed). You should also bring your laptop and your most recent course outline to the session. In the workshop, you’ll win swag while completing fun activities designed to help you:
- Review and apply SDG course mapping tools (Mapping Sheet and Rubric)
- Map one of your courses not previously mapped with hands-on guidance
